The Herndon Optimist Cheerleaders will be placed into squads based on their age. Due to the number of HOYF football teams versus cheerleading squads, not all football teams will be assigned a cheerleading squad. HOYC hopes to offer two floater squads who will be assigned to several teams. Their goal will be to cover as many of the home games as possible for their assigned teams.

Teams will be determined by the commissioner/coaches. Special requests will be considered for car pooling/friends; however, cannot be guaranteed. It is important for girls to experience the coaching expertise of all coaches and to meet new friends; therefore, we cannot guarantee cheerleaders will be placed with the same coach as last year.
